Forum .LRN Q&A: Teaching/Course Assitant and Course Administrator roles

Hello,

Can somebody explain the difference between these three roles - TA's, Course Assistant and Course Administrator - different permissions to perform particular tasks - adding new course members, access to Lecture Notes, Handouts, Home Work and other folders, etc.?
Do they all have the same administrative privileges as Professors have?

Hi!

In "http://serverxxxx.domainyyy.zz/dotlrn/doc/permission-overview"

you can find help on the roles.

Bye.

Volin,

All these roles have the same privileges, but correspond to the roles within the real class.  The pretty name for these roles titles can be changed on a per-group basis through the group control panel.  Also, course administrators display on the members portlet, but not in the staff list portlet.

Thank you Deirdre!
I thought that they haven't the same privileges, but now it is clear that TA, CA and CAdmin are just synonyms with corresponding roles within the real class.
