Forum OpenACS Development: automatic update of local personal properties in the package IMSLD

I'm trying to update a local personal properties in a Unit of Learning in the IMSLD package. I want to insert new registres through an external platform but we don't have clarity about the how we can generate an OID field. Futhermore, we have a doubt about if the data base can lose the integrity because of we insert or modify new registres in it.

Could somebody please, give me some information about it.
