I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing slow
connections with this website. I've got a cable modem and
usually download things very quickly but I'm having problems....

Yeah, it's connectivity not the system itself.  Or, at least for me
when it is slow a traceroute shows things getting hung up in New
Hampshire, very near the server but before it gets to the server...
