Forum OpenACS Q&A: ETP doing funny things to me again!

I just installed an OpenACS v5.0.4 and set up an ETP instance just as I did on an ACS 4.6.3 installation.

I had defined an application type in 4.6.3 and so re-used the definition in the new version.

This worked fine until I tried to include some inline tags in one of my text boxes for a bit of adventurous formatting fun (!)- <ul></ul> and <li></li>.

The new version of ETP strips these tags before serving the page, so my creativity has been cruelly stunted. The kernel is set to accept the tags concerned.

Have I done something stupid or is this new behaviour a feature. If it is, does anyone know how I can switch it off?

Many Thanks
R.

Noquote is in 5.0 but not in 4.6.3, isn't it?

You might need to append ";noquote" inside your @vars@ in the application's template.

Fantastic. I noticed that they had mysteriously appeared in version 5 and wondered what they did!

I even experimented with doing that but must have made a stupid error like modifying the wrong variable or something!!

Anyway - thanks very much.
