I believe it was part of the same TIP, no???  But it won't be the same column of course, confusing physical parent with package owner would be even worse than confusing physical parent with permissions ancestor!

It was mentioned, yes, but the parent_id part wasn't part of the original proposal, and thus not part of the approval. And it's not implemented yet, as far as I can tell.

But I'm glad that we agree on where to go.
