Forum OpenACS Q&A: Installation Of postgresSQL driver

Dear,
Sir

My previos problem regarding the database startup has been solved.
Now I am facing an another problem. Its regrading Postgres database
driver Installation. I have installed the postgres with the RPMs come
with Red Hat Linux -6.2. Is is working fine, but at the time of
installing the driver, is is asking for the directories like lib,
include in pgsql under usr, which is not available there as well as a
file called "nspostgres.so", but I am not getting this file. so what
should I do ?
What are steps I have to follow for installinng the driver ?
Please help me out.

Gautam,

All your questions are answered in detail in the documentation, but it is worthless if you don't take at the time to at least use it as a reference. You have a copy of it in your hard drive and you can go to openacs.org/doc/openacs to read it. There's a whole section on compiling the driver.

You should use the driver available at openacs.org/software.adp.

Dear Roberto Mello,

Can you point to the URL from where the database driver ( nspostgres.so for Red Hat Linux 6.2 in Binary Form) can be downloaded?

Thanks,
Ashish
