Forum OpenACS Q&A: Response to Future directions for OpenACS

If in the near future the community could build a python ACS, that would be a killer app for pyworld.

I've witnessed the rise and (in my opinion) fall of Zope (Python App Server, object publisher, etc). There are a lot of pythoneers that want to delete Zope from their computers and so a lot of new projects were started (modsnake, modpython, webware, Quixote, etc).

But it's a lot of work to port ACS. Maybe some company could invest in that port and build a business model out of it (Digital Creations, makers of Zope (C) got a river of cash with their (quite inferior?) product). Mean time I guess pythoneers could help the PyWX project, right?
