Forum OpenACS Q&A: mod_aolserver development discontinued or moved here?

Hello,

I'm interested in information about the current state of mod_aolserver. It seems the apache.arsdigita-dev.com site has been closed. I posted at the arsdigita web/db forum, and one person suggested that development might be continuing here at openacs.org.

Rob Mayoff, who I believe was the or one of the primary programmer(s) for mod_aolserver said that the project is pretty much shelved.

Here is a link to that thread: http://www.arsdigita.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg%5fid=000bpx&topic%5fid=21&topic=web%2fdb

My primary question about mod_aolserver is: Can I turn to this forum for mod_aolserver questions?

Secondary: Will anyone be picking up mod_aolserver development?

Tertiary: Can anyone share experiences with mod_aolserver and acs4.x, is it likely to integrate well with the openacs4.x?

Fourthiary: I don't know the word for fourthiary. 😉

Many thanks for any suggestions/responses.

We could certainly host mod_aolserver development here if someone's
serious about working on it, I suppose.

Frankly, though, I don't see it as a high priority for most of us, who
are more than happy with AOLserver.
