Forum OpenACS Q&A: RFP: System Information / Configuration Management Module

We would like bids from interested developers to build a small OpenACS system information module for our intranet. Bids need to be single phase, fixed priced, and include two rounds of bug fixes and e-mail support for 6 months. Future feature enhancement not included. Bids to include collecting user requirements, design specifications, as complete a set of automated tests as possible, and administrator and user documentation.

Big Picture:

Load AIDA32 system audit reports into the database and provide a configurable detailed and summary web reports by system.

General requirements:
1) Scaleable to at least 250 windows machines with weekly auditing. Online history for last 52 weeks. All reports must format nicely for printing.
2) Configurable detailed report by system
3) Configurable summary reports for what changed by system
4) For systems that have changed linked to some basic forms for documenting change control/configuration management, possibly workflow enabled for change authorization.

AIDA32 v3.93 is available here: http://www.aumha.org/freeware.php it is no longer being supported by the developer so an equivalent tool, preferably "free", could be used. I have used the built in ADO support to dump the reports into different databases but we have no developer cycles for OACS currently.

If interested contact me at tmizukami(at)theravance(dot)com and we can develop the idea into a proposal. A couple of other proposals will follow next week. Thanks.
