Hello,
we found that we need this simple functionality for .LRN, of course, that's related to openacs. What might be the best approach?
Adding a parameter to oacs? where? authentication or kernel?

Wait, you want to allow admins to create users, but not allow users to self-register, right?

Yeah, a parameter on acs-authentication seems okay.

then, we should TIP this? since is just an small enhancement in a core package its not too clear if yes or not =)

Funny, I was going to bring this up today too. I'm glad someone beat me too it. We have a use for this functionality on our intranet.

What packages/files do I need to get from head to have this feature?

I'm running OpenACS 5.1.1

There is a Parameter: AllowSelfRegister use 0
The package is acs-authentication

/acs-admin
Authentication
Parameters
