One of the more disturbing things I took from that presentation was the move away from CVS for the core engineering team. CVS tends to encourage more openness in the core, as the CVS tree tends to be available between formal releases.
(As a side not, I'm not sure I understand the comment that CVS is suitable mainly to small, geographically close teams. Most of the projects I'm involved with that use CVS are exactly the opposite)
Does this mean that only formal releases are going to be available
to us pesky outsiders? Wait and see, I suppose...
