In Openacs 4.6.3 you have a choice of the bboards package or the forums package.

I can see that bboards reached end of life at Openacs 4.6.3 but what are the differences between the packages. In other words, given the choice, which package is preferable in an OpenACS 4.6.3 installation?

I have tried searching for an answer to this question but had no luck.

Any ideas gratefully received.

bboard is no longer maintained (AFAIK), so probably, if in the future you'll upgrade, you'll also might want to have the improvements in forums package and not maintain bboard by yourself...
