1: Can I use the 4.x CVS version for anything?

Greetings,

Is the 4.x version of OpenACS in the CVS repository good for anything
currently?  Could I load enough of it so I could use just the db api
and templating against pg 7.1?  Or does more porting work need to
happen first?

You really don't want to use the current OpenACS 4.x for anything
other than helping us port, given that there is no guarantee that
anything will remain consistent before the first release. Any
piece that is working now may break later in development only to
be resurrected. This is not even alpha stuff, it's still highly under
development.
