I am curious if  it is, or will be, possible to export these things into XML format as well?

well, should not be that hard to do that, but right now just the import is supported..

Even better, a 2 way communication is what we are looking for, and is in someway designed at the IMS Enterprise Services specification, something that Galileo plans to address in the future.
