I spent some time today entering the 50 or 60 ACS 4.x Packages into
our SDM here at openacs.org. Since doing this is an extraordinarily
boring and tedious task, I only entered myself as an admin for each of
the modules. I'll slowly start adding others where appropriate when I
feel like doing more boring and tedious work. Not today, enough is
enough :)
Please start entering feature requests and bugs there. We're
especially interesting in known shortcoming in the Oracle version, for
those of you who've used ACS 4.x in that environment. We'll also be
looking at the ArsDigita ticket tracker for known bugs, of course.
Currently you can't browse the CVS sources for the newly added
packages from the SDM due to a permissions glitch on the system
(nsadmin not part of the CVS group thus unable to obtain a lock when
it execs the CVS command). Ben and I have exchanged a couple of notes
and have come to agreement on how to set things up. I'll make the
necessary change and reboot nsd later today or tomorrow then we'll
have the entire tree available for web-based browsing.
We're getting there, folks ... slowly but surely we're getting there.
I sure know a lot more about CVS than I did a week ago!
