Hi All,

I installed openacs 5.1.1 Core package. When I tried to install all applications I get an error for some of the applications

Spam System
4.1
Requires acs-content 4.1

CMS News Site Demo
1.4
Requires acs-util 4.0; acs-workflow 4.1; cms 4.1

Content Management System
4.1.1
Requires acs-workflow 4.1

Glossary
4.0a2
Requires acs-workflow 4.0

recruiting
2.0.2
Requires ui 0.1

dotLRN Admin
0.1d
Requires dotlrn 2.1.0a

I checked in the var/lib/aolserver/service0/packages and there is no packages for the above required packages. I downloaded the openacs-4-6 and all the missing packages are present but I dont know how to install them in the current env (openacs 511).

Do I have to copy the required directories to any particular location? If so where?

I am trying to install CMS.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Dear Pathy,

Generally, it is not a good idea to install ALL the packages. I would install them as you need them.

You are doing this on a test server, right?

Thanks for the tip. Your wesite is of great help to newies like myself

I copied the packages by downloading the openacs-versionXXX.gz files and unzipped and copied the package to /var/lib/aolserver/<SERVICENAME>/packages directory.
