Forum OpenACS Development: APM Still Broken In Oracle???

I downloaded OpenACS 4.0 from CVS about a week ago and currently have
it set to run with Oracle for testing purposes. I grabbed some
packages from CVS today but I am afraid to try to install them
because of Don's message in the OpenACS 4.x Project Status document
that says that APM under Oracle "will die at the moment."

Is this still the case?

The problem isn't the Oracle version per se, it's that Ben hasn't had time to add the query dispatcher calls to the Oracle db api. He only did the PostgreSQL version while he was writing and debugging it.

I moved some dynamic SQL entirely out of a couple of APM .tcl files, which without the QD causes those pages to die. One's the APM index file. Oops :)

Ben was planning to have the QD code stubbed into the Oracle API by Monday (tomorrow), so stay tuned! I'll update the status file and post here after I verify that Oracle still loads.
