Forum OpenACS Development: acs-messaging package port? dependencies

I am starting to port the bboard package to postgres. It depends on
acs-messaging. Not to rush anybody, but how's that acs-messaging
port going?

acs-messaging is going away. I am currently working on an improved package (acs-mail) that will take its place.

Now that the scalability problem appears to be fixed ( I am checking in that patch today), I can work on acs-mail.

Please see http://jongriffin.com/static/openacs/ for more info.

That probably means that general comments is going to have to rely on acs-mail as well?!?

I was also waiting on acs-messaging, to begin porting general comments - I was about to email Jon to ask him for an ETA on this. Either I need to pay more attention to the boards or we need to add a little bit more info to the project status list or guidelines document...

Are there more architectural changes I need to be aware of, other than those listed in the OpenACS 4.0 guidelines?

places won't exist

It is being replaced by acs-reference and acs-location.
