Is it possible to use subsites with .LRN? This seems to be a solution when different departments in a university require different styles, portal templates, etc...

In this thread I read that there are problems, and that subsites actually work only on plain OpenACS:

Another (more difficult) solution is described, but since the discussion is not recent, I was wondering whether this was fixed with 2.1...

you can do this, but you'll need to change some code depending on how many new stuff you need...

I think is not that hard but will require some custom code.

Probably, when the new portal system comes, this functionality (plus having multiple .LRN instances running in the same system) will be allowed, btw, Don, do we expect the portal system for .LRN 2.2 (2-3 months or so)?
