a) We've stabalized the performance at Sloan and Galileo
b) We are putting back in our code fixes
c) Next Monday, I'll cut a 2.1 beta tarball
d) We'll put 2.1beta on the translation server

Anyone interested in using .LRN 2.1 should take the tarball and try it out and also attempt a test upgrade.

If you've tried the beta out successfully and are ready to go, please send me an email at mailto:teadams@alum.mit.edu.

If there are critical fixes, please put a bug into the ticket tracke and put a list of them and send them to me.

Once the following criteria has been met, I'll cut the release candidate
-- 5 "yeses" to people who have tried it out (3 with upgrading)
-- The list of critical bugs is fixed
-- 2 weeks have gone by to allow people to translate

Thanks for putting this plan together Tracy!

d) is quite important, means that after the 2 weeks on the translation server, the catalogs will come back (from translation server) to oacs-5-1 and make the rc1?

Yes, we'll take what is on the translation server and put it into oacs5-1 before .LRN2.1RC is cut.
