Quick update - Jeff Hobbs says --enable-threads by default is being considered, there are some concerns that expect and few other things may break. I offered to help test whether this is true. He is at the TCL conference this week, so we will probably not hear much for a week or so.
The matrix is coming along - I am going by distrowatch.com to prioritize platforms. BSD, WIndows, and OS/X will have their own entries as well.
