You are absolutely right. However, given that no one here has claimed that the content repository is "so flawed", this is a red herring.
Are you by any chance confusing the content repository with the content management system, which is one of several *clients* of the content repository, not the content repository itself?
Or did you not notice that this forum's the OpenACS CMS (Content Management System) forum?
