These are great additions. Please do consider adding these to lars-blogger. But you might want to talk with Lars Pinds first. He is the package maintainer. He hasn't been very active with it recently, so you might ask him if he's still interested in maintaining it.

I believe ratings is on HEAD, so if you do these changes, make sure they're on HEAD as opposed to oacs-5-1.

Thank you for your considerations. I will try contact Lars Pinds to learn from him about these additions. Meanwhile I got some advices in his personnal blog at http://www.pinds.com/blog/one-entry?entry_id=2885 where he talked about scoring users votes. It is a great lecture but i am advertised he thinks explicit votes ("rank this item from 0 to 5") is not very interesting :)
