Very interesting!
Do you have a proactive or a reactive approach?. I mean, could it be that your statistics are based on a sample that is already skewed? or is it that my sample is skewed by companies that do not know of either (ACS/Zope)?
My approach has been proactive in the sense that I go to the paper and look for tenders or go to managers I know and show them what you can do with OpenACS (a screencam or live demo or both). It has to be proactiove since I am now in a University but doing consulting...
In one case the other options were Vignette and Interwoven.
Another I expect to have Webct and Blackboard.
In a couple were internal developments.
My biggest "sale" was an internal project against another internal system with less features but with a nice "wygiwys" inteface (we discussed this in another thread "wordprocessing in forms"). I implemented the intranet module there (using ACS/Oracle).
