I like the idea of "borrowing" from Zope. I think we all agree on the similarities and on the better marketing (or maybe just loner) they have. In fact, Janine pointed out that we often compete with them.
Reading "Rebel code: Linux and the open source revolution" is helping me see a couple of good rules, we should try to comply with some of them: Frecuent releases is the first to come to mi mind. Can we refresh news more often on the home page. Even if it is simple things like "Portals module ported", "Calendar module ported", "Sloan School of mnagement pushes forward OpenACES", etc.
