Forum OpenACS Q&A: Fatal Error: Cannot Successfully map soname

I am setting up OpenACS 3.2.5 on development system running IRIX 6.5, and I cannot get the Postgres driver to work.

This IRIX system has Postgres 7.0.2 installed on it, and because it does not have a native c compiler, I am being forced to use the IRIX binary of AOLserver 3.4 available at

I compiled the Postgres 2.0.0 driver using gcc and the AOLserver 3.4 source, but I keep getting this error when starting AOLserver:

Unless an IRIX user pops up here at, we probably won't be able to help you much.  I'm not sure where to suggest you go looking for help, unfortunately.  Maybe an IRIX newsgroup?
