Forum OpenACS Q&A: Screenshot gallery

I've added photo-album to OpenACS so that we can display screenshots: https://openacs.org/picture. Feel free to upload shots from your own OpenACS-based site. Please keep them at 1024x768 if possible.

Peter uploaded the screenshots to our German .LRN Demo Site running at http://www.theservice.de. You can access the screenshots at https://openacs.org/picture/album?album_id=243083.

Giancarlo, would you mind sharing with us how you got the nice pictures into the .LRN portlets (and maybe even share the graphics, they make .LRN considerably more likeable).

I did not modify myself the .LRN portlets, it was done by Luis who may post later more details... Briefly, the work was to edit the adp associated to each specific portlet (for instance for the groups portlet: dotlrn/packages/dotlrn/www/dotlrn-main-portlet.adp) and then define these new graphic layouts (this was done with Dreamweaver and based on HTML tables). We have several versions of these graphics and we may create a guest account from where you can download the pictures... If it is considered useful, we can also add the templates to CVS.

We are also thinking about more flexible solutions: using CSS instead of tables... the best would be to have a UI where the portlets would be modified dinamically (something like the current Customize Portal Layout).
