Has anyone thought about notifications for CR objects? We have this in file storage and I'm thinking about writing a small patch to ETP to allow users to subscribe for notification on website changes. Maybe someone has already done this or if not, maybe someone can tell if the method used in file storage would work with ETP as well.

Oh, and while we are at it, obviously we should not limit the notifications to e-mail but also enable RSS. Well .... 😊.

yes, you can add notif to ETP in the same way its done with fs (is quite standard), I recommend using the SC TCL spec instead of direct .sql calls. (look at FAQ for an example http://cvs.openacs.org/cvs/openacs-4/packages/faq/tcl/apm-callback-procs.tcl?rev=1.1&view=auto)
