Has anyone tried to run OpenACS against a Firebird database. At the moment I'm only looking into accessing the database, so having a interbase driver would be enough. In the long run though it might make sense for people who run Windows to use their existing Interbase / Firebird database for OpenACS as well (as nearly all Delphi developers use that database). Let it be known that I shall not intend to port it or ask the OpenACS community to maintain a third database. I'm just wondering if anyone ever did this and if yes, how.
