In a fresh installation of OpenACS there is no
favicon included (the tiny icon displayed in the
URL-entry-line of the browser or in a bookmark).
Therefore when this site is used from some newer browser
such as firefox, nearly 50% of the requests are for
/favicon.ico
and failing. How about shipping a nice favicon together
with OpenACS? alex?

Great idea.

Alex would be a good addition. I don't think this would need to be TIPped would it?

No, not to our rules, feel free to put it into CVS. Maybe the .LRN crowd is willing to put a .LRN favicon up as well and distribute it via the tarball ?
