Forum OpenACS Q&A: problems with HTML editor in forums

Hi

First let me say thank you to whoever integrated the HTML editor, it is a great tool!

I am having some problems, and before posting them in the bug tracker thought it was better to ask here.

I'm using postgresql, dotlrn 2.1.1. on OSX on the server, SOX on the browser.
The HTML editor works fine in Firefox 1.0, Mozilla 1.4 but not in Explorer 5.2 (for Mac., which is not supported by MS anymore).
The strange problem I have (only tried it in forums) is that the back button will not work. Any ideas?

cheers

Rafael

The back button should work without problems. You just have to jump back a couple of pages due to the HTML editor. Furthermore, you should use COMMAND-Z to take back changes made in the editor, not the back button.

This assumes you are talking about the back button whil editing with HTMLarea.

I have also problems with HTMLArea. Any of the pop-up windows for adding a link, changing a color, adding a table or image doesn't work. The OK or CANCEL buttons are missing completely. Also the enlarge function won't work.

Has someone had similar experience.

I only had these problems with the latest HTMLarea release, not the one shipped with OpenACS. Maybe it is a browser issue?
