I think this is just one (important) symptom of a wider issue involving incorrect communication between CVS and the SDM. Ben and Don both know about it, but so far noone has found the time to find and fix the cause. It started when openacs.org was moved to the new server at OpenForce, I think.
I agree it would be good to get this taken care of. I don't know who has both the access privs on the server, and the available time, to do the work.
