I am running SquirrelMail,Qmail and courier IMAP.
WebMail is awful. Everything stored in Oracle and users can't POP or IMAP. My feeling is that it is a complete waste of time to port. Many, MUCH better alternatives exist and at some point we have to realize not everything is a good fit for OpenACS.
