Andrew, they were looking for internationalization of their website. OpenACS provided an excellent solution, but the lack of non-AOLserver support didn't even get it to the "oh, tcl" phase.

Talli, so translated, you're basically saying that this CTO's "must use Apache" requirement is apparently entirely political and/or ignorance based, no real technical case at all? Right?

If so, then sure, better OpenACS Apache support would still be a A Good Thing, both technically and especially to head off these sorts of business objections, but we didn't learn anything new or useful from this CTO.
