Does our current HTML widget work on the MAC? I was under the impression that it did - however, I'm getting a report to the contrary.

Thank you,
Tracy

No, I have tried it in Firefox 1.0 and IE (on OSX 10.3) and it has a number of bugs:
- The go 'back' does not work.
- Sometimes it does not show all the content that is there

cheers

Hi,

I'm on OSX 10.3 as well, using Firefox 1.0 and IE, so far have not encountered any problems.

Cheers..

HTML area doesn't work at all on Safari, which is the default browser for Mac OS X. Actually, it's worse than not working -- it makes the pages inoperable.

Which pretty much means you can't use HTMLArea until this is fixed, unless you can count on not having any Mac users.

Jade, why does HTMLarea make pages inoperable in non-compatible browsers?

This FAQ of V2.03 (currently openACS has V3) seems to imply that other browser will see a regular textarea or am I misreading this.

I don't know why this is the case -- that was just my experience when trying to use HTMLArea on a Mac.
