Dear all,
I am trying to configure a Red Hat box with the following setup:
OpenACS, Aolserver and PostgreSQL. I have Aolserver 3.3 and OpenACS
3.4.5. I tried to use the RPMs with Postgres 7.0.3 but the system
complains that it needs a version >=7.1 of postgres.
A friend told me to install the RPMS and forget about it. I did that
at work with the AolServer and I cant connect to the port 8000. I read
the docs but I cant find any detailed information about all the
directives that I can configure in Aolserver.
At home I tried to use the source binaries to build the AOlserver and
it works for the localhost (at home Ive got a gnome workstation so I
can access from the localhost). Also I tried to build from source the
OpenACS, but after reading the docs I dont know which the directives
are for setting up the openacs system (which is the directive for
saying to the system the tcl library and all that in the docs say you
have to tell to the system but doesnt say how).
If you dont mind, could you give any sample nsd.tcl file for a system
like mine?
Is there any detailed information of how to setup a system like I
want to setup from source binaries?
I am sorry, but I have read the docs and either my English is too bad
or I cant still figure out how to set the system up.
Many thanks in advance
Best Regards
Miguel
