Forum OpenACS Q&A: Re: Will Dr. OpenACS survive? Or why I stopped worrying and learned to love the .LRN consortium?

My post was certainly provocative and may very well be becuase I'm an asshole, but it's not because I'm wrong.

And I'm not asking for an apology from anyone at .LRN. But I am saying publicly what I've been saying privately for two years now and what others are also saying.

The investment that .LRN institutions have made have not been trivial, that's certainly true. But the effectiveness of the organizing of the .LRN project has been abysmal.

Some people have done well in the community and it may just be that the project can only sustain those. But if .LRN's problems are entirely related to resources and marketing then what good is it pontificating about what OpenACS can do about it?
