there is little that I can do to update https://openacs.org/projects/openacs/installer. As I see it, it is now time for the community to take the source RPMs and put them through the wringer. The OCT could/should lead an effort to collect resulting binaries and make them available, preferably in apt/yum repositories.
At which point the `installer' page can be updated. Right now I think that a link to this thread is sufficient.
