I wanted to install everything today on a machine running
Mandrake8.1, using the rpm's for RH 7.1, but libxml2 rpm is not
available. can anyone please forward it to me mailto:bradut@bradut.com, or
let me know where it is.

I ran into a similiar problem and found reading the Having troubles with 3.2.5 and pg7.0 thread helpful.

As I understand it, 3.2.5 doesn't need libxml2 and you can force the install

rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps *rpm
