ACS is the open source web application framework we extracted from Photo.net. When we built Photo.net we didn't know we were building the ACS at the same time, but that's exactly how it happened. Photo.net came first; the ACS was born from Photo.net. Photo.net was the divine chicken, the ACS was the egg.
