Sorry, but I am new to .LRN and maybe this question is trivial. Anyway, how can I disable the self-registration feature, that is, the Register link which appears by default on the .LRN site main page?

Just follow this path:

Control Panel->
SiteWide Administration
->
Inside this page, choose parameters for "authentication package"

set AllowSelfRegister to 0

This disables self registration for local authority.
