Forum OpenACS Q&A: Getting to grips with Xowiki

I am trying to set up a layout using xowiki.

I need to have the index page displayed as a plain page without @title@ (for which I have created a custom my-view.adp).

But I need the rest of the pages to be rendered with oacs-view.

I had hoped to be able to simply add the category navigator as an includelet to the appropriate pages, but the categories includelet doesn't seem to do the same job as the categories portlet, and the toc includelet ony works with book pages (which mine are not).

What is the best way to do this?

I eventually realised why this wouldn't work, and it boiled down to a misunderstanding on my part. No wonder there were no replies to the post - 'what on earth is he talking about!?' they must have been saying.

The includelets that I was trying to add were working fine but they were not what I thought they were. The way to get the page to look as I wanted (as per the openacs website) is to select the oacs-view template in the parameters - which I had done on a previous site a few weeks earlier!

Early senility induced by too much time spent thrashing away at websites. :-|
