While waiting for Cathy at Acorn to set me up, I found Frank Bergman's Project/Open installer at
http://www.project-open.org/download/win/.
I was up on a Win2K machine in 20 minutes with an install highlighting Frank's "Project" work. Having spent hours/days/weeks with Cygwin, Postgres and Apache installs, I was blown right out of the water. Pleasure and pain, love and hate, all balled into one!
While I'm not focused at the moment on the particular apps Frank's worked up, his installer gives me access to much of the OpenACS interface and documentation, not to mention what I take to be the full tree of the webserver.
Anyone with an M$ box who wants to get an idea of the scope of the OpenACS project can accomplish that handily at the above address. And see what looks to be a great Project Management app, and a Invoicing app, and a Translation Agency app into the bargain.
Thanks, OpenACS, thanks, Frank!
