I am only one member of the OpenACS community, I am offering only my own opinion.
I simply find it hard to believe that OpenACS is losing huge numbers of installs due to there being no Win32 support. I believe that we are losing the same number of installs on Win32 in absolute numbers that we are losing by not doing a VMS port, ie. not big enough to care about.
The answer in most open source communities is, if you want it and it isn't there, either build it yourself or pay someone else to do so.
The focus now should be OpenACS4 going into beta and eventually reaching release status.
