I'm around, though not getting email alerts (only checking the forums every now and then).
I'm indeed not working on mod_nsd. The plan was to work on adding FastCGI support instead, but I didn't do much work on that either (I'm not needing it, and not many people bugged me about it either).
However, that still wouldn't solve the win32 problems, since you still need AOLserver, only with a FastCGI listener instead of a HTTP one.
