Hello to all!!

I have problems with the Weblooger: All users (students and professors) by default, can add and publish new entrances.

I can change that? Is somebody using it? Thanks.

There is much confusion about group blogging vs.
individual blogging. Can some wise developer enlighten us?
In Deirdre's great docs
http://web.mit.edu/dekane/www/LRN/Documentation_HTML/Communication%20Tools.htm
she says "In .LRN, learners can have personal weblogs (the
Journals they can create through their Profiles)..."
Is it only our Oracle version where none of of
Larsblogger functions reasonably works?

You can easily manage the permissions by going to the administration of the weblogger and click on the permission link (I fixed it just now in CVS).

The first thing you need to do is give explicit admin right to the administrators of the class. *AFTER* you have done this, prevent inheriting permissions from the class itself.

I'm not aware of a personal weblogging facility in .LRN except maybe dotFOLIO, but maybe Sloan has an enhanced version or I'm to blind to find it.

Ok, but does this force to make in each class,
I like can make it of a single time for all the classes.

How can I make it?

Thanks for this fix, Malte. Permission link for weblogger application is very usefull for .LRN

I have been using permissions to give direct admin right to the administrators of the class on weblogger AND read, create rights to members of the class. This permissions arrangement is very usefull for maintain blog classes (or community) where members can interact with the weblogger application without permission on editing others postings.

As you said i'm not aware of personal weblogging facility in .LRN too but it could be great if people working in this way could share their experiences.
