I am happy to announce that the .LRN Consortium has formally engaged Joel Aufrecht to help manage the .LRN/OpenACS release over the next 3 months and that the E-Lane project (under Rocael Hernandez's technical leadership) will be contributing resources and people to support this.
As discussed in Madrid, one of the priorities of the .LRN Consortium is to make .LRN releases more predictable and help streamline the release process.
Joel has already done extraordinary work in this regard, is a widely respected member of the OpenACS technical community, and is the most obvious candidate to lead us forward. As Joel helps us progress on a technical level over the next 3 months the consortium will be fund raising to continue to support this work.
