Forum OpenACS Q&A: Fall 2009 OCT election procedure and call for nominations

<h4>Voters and Nominations</h4>

Current OCT members, CVS committers and anyone who has posted at least twice to the forums in 180 days before 15th of October 2009 (72 persons) may vote. The same persons are eligible to be candidates for OCT, and may nominate others for this election.

There are 4 seats available. The elected persons will have 1 year term ending on 1st of November 2010. Current OCT members: Emmanuelle Raffenne, Gustaf Neumann, Héctor Romojaro, Rocael Hernández are automatically nominated. (Please post here if any of you refuse the nomination.) Nomination takes place by posting on this thread and they do not require seconds.

(All times are Midnight UTC on the day mentioned.)

Now ( 14th of October 2009) Nominations open.
Thursday 22nd of October 2009 Nominations close. Preliminary ballot is published.
Friday 23rd of October 2009 Ballot is frozen at 23:00 UTC (those who have refused nomination are deleted). Voting begins at Midnight UTC.
Thursday 5th of November 2009: Voting ends.

<h4>Procedure</h4>
Voting will take place on the openacs.org site, at a URL to be announced in this thread and in its own thread on the OpenACS Q&A forum.

Hi all!.. an update regarding valid voters and persons eligible for nominations:

The OCT decided on the last election to extend the range of valid days for those persons who have posted at least twice in our forums; from 90 to 180. That makes 72 persons on the count of persons who posted twice in the forums.

A quick reminder: Nominatios are closing tomorrow (22nd of October), so if you want to nominate, go ahead a do so.
