Hello everyone,

On the 5.1 OpenACS control panel there is the option under "users" to either reset or update a users password.

Can someone tell me what the difference is? Also, is there somewhere I could have looked this up without having to trouble people on this list?

Bob,

The difference is: with 'update password' you set the password you want. If you choose 'reset password' the system generates a random pwd and send it to the user's email.

I've worked with both of them without problems.
