I am also interested in such things, particularly an idiot proof install guide and a good, very simple getting started guide. My first (incomplete) cut at the install guide is here (MS Word Document ~90k).

I've been trying to stay away from hardware and code lately (not my favorite things) so I'd love to help with editing text, putting in pretty screenshots, that type of thing.
